Tigers

Did you know that the Tiger was voted the world's favorite animal?  I sure didn't.  I also didn't know that there were so many different subspecies of these fierce animals.  Find more facts on this Wikipedia site, the place with all the information on your favorite big cat.

This University of Michigan official website has all the tiger vital stats, pictures and scientific classifications for these fascinating creatures, from habitats around the world. The Specimens tab has up close and personal photos of tiger skulls, with detail of jaw structure and teeth. Be sure to click on the Pictures tab to see real shots of these large cats in action.

Take action to save Tigers!  This site offers a few different ways to help the endangered species.  After your donation to the Adopt-a-Tiger program you will receive a plush tiger toy, a certificate of adoption, a photo and a fact sheet.  This site also offers cool facts on the behavior of our favorite feline. 

The WWF has fantastic videos, maps, links, pictures, and facts about tigers. They have included photos of each of the subspecies of the largest of all cats, links to obscure studies, and population estimates.
