The PBS Nature program website features a critter guide database where you can learn about hundreds of species, an interactive multimedia section with over 40 games and puzzles, and a library of animal videos. One bonus is the special section for teachers that includes resources, lesson plans and tips.
PestWorld for Kids
Pests as projects? Yes, sir! This site is a great resource for lesson plans, games and report writing. I especially appreciate the science fair section.
San Diego Zoo
The San Diego Zoo official website features information about their seasonal exhibits and visitor information. The Kids Territory has interactive games & quizzes, and you can also meet the zoo's critters. Teachers will find valuable classroom kits and activities in the Teacher's Lounge. There are also links to zoo related blogs and podcasts, an animal bytes section, live cams and videos.
