BBC's Database of Animal Facts

The BBC's site has hundreds of animals in its database, from the usual cast of characters-- lions, tigers, bears-- to some less well known and more difficult to pronounce groups of creatures, like echinoderms (starfish, sea urchins, and other bottom dwelling invertebrates now you know). Many of the facts pages have exactly the type information that school kids are asked to report: diet, habitat, reproduction, predators, dress size (kidding) and the like. There's an A-to-Z list of animals, too.
