Is is appropriate to lump the problems caused by Burmese pythons in the Everglades with the threat of an Asian carp invasion of Lake Michigan? This article seems to be doing just that. Also, how did Sam Hamilton, director of the US Fish & Wildlife Service, decide that invasive species were more threatening to wildlife than, say, loss of habitat?
