Good for fish, good for fishermen

The New England Fishery Management Council, which is made up of local fisherman, industry representatives and some government officials have commenced on a sector allocation plan.  Under this plan, local fisherman would form cooperatives and catch limits of certain species from certain ocean sectors and not exceed fish catches allocated per sector.

This new plan, with fisherman working together is designed to allow wild fish stocks to become sustainable with the fishing industry. It sounds good and hopefully it actually works when implemented.
