A genius little idea, the pet watch club is the babysitters' club for pet owners. Joining the club will give you access to a local listing of like minded folk to arrange play dates, dog walks, pet sitting and events. This site also has a bonus feature of a missing pet alert, in the form of an email that goes out to all the members in a 10 mile radius as soon as you report the pet missing.
