A new monkey species dubbed the Caquetá titi (Callicebus caquetensis), has been discovered in the Amazon. It was discovered along the Columbia Peruvian border and it comes on the heels of great concern as researchers feel it may be critically Endangered since it is a small population and its habitat is diminishing due to deforestation and agriculture. It is a very cute little monkey and I am sure we will hear more about the species as researchers study the population more.
